How to Make Mascara Stretch

One day I was in the bathroom doing my usual makeup routine. Then, I couldn’t help but notice as I grabbed my mascara and placed the brush on my eyelashes the consistency was different. My daughter added water to the mascara to make it stretch. That’s when I knew I needed to get more Covergirl.

If you ever need to stretch your mascara before getting a new one, here is the best way to make it last. Put 2-3 drops of saline water such as contact solution, coconut oil, or olive oil into the tube of clumpy mascara. You can rinse of the brush with hot water to clean any residue before placing it back in the mascara tube. It is best not to keep expired mascara or makeup at all due to expired beauty products can harbor harmful bacteria. Makeup experts recommend to replace your mascara every 3 months unless you use it in occasion.  Of course this is not a Latisse solution.  Though, it will help stretch your mascara til your next mascara tube unless your getting eye lash extensions.

Being A Philly Native

I was born in the 80’s baby and grew up in the 90’s era before trap. The neighborhood I grew up in was pretty safe now that I look back. I could of been in a worse place. My momma made me go to church where I remember of “I once was blind but now I see.”  I miss my home town but I moved away cause I was seeking more space. I stayed in Mt. Airy and often visited my grandmother in West Philadelphia which was considered one of the more rough side of the city. Van Gogh murals on the wall covered things that weren’t too pretty. I became acquainted with the neighborhood kids on the block playing Jax and my fumble attempts of skating trying not to fall on my back. I remember playing ring and run door bell games, and jumping Double Dutch. I remember staring at suspect strolling in the neighborhood that may of not been one of us. I had my fair share of quarrels, games, and truth or dare. Those were the simpler times, when you would go outside and get fresh air. The privileges of Play...
